Water resources management in Kurdistan province is based on the transfer of water from the west to the east of the province. Water conveyance from the Zhaveh dam is one of these plans, which allows the annual transfer of about 80 MCM of water to the tanks of the Soral and Sang Siah located in Ghorveh Dehgolan plain, as well as the supply of water needs along the route of the water transmission system in the Shilan valley. Total length of the conveyance system is 30 km, which consists of about 28 km water pipeline, and approximately 900 meters of pumping head, can supply about 80 MCM for the plain.
