Polerood Cascade Dams and Hydropower plants are located in the east of Gilan Province. The main objective of this project is to make hydroelectric energy. The project is divided into 4 independent small run-off-river power plants with the capacity of less than 10 MW, each one, constructed on the Polerood River. The total installation capacity of the above power plants is 30.8 MW and the total annual generated energy is equal to 127.3 GWh/Year.
