The project area is located between the geographical coordinates of 35° 47′ to 35° 07′ north and 46° 51′ to 46° 21′ east. The dam is located on Azadrood River close to Neyabad village. The objectives of this project include flood and sedimentation control, improving water resource control of the Sirvan basin, and supplying local and regional demands.
