Molla Sadra Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant are located on the Kour River in the North of Fars province, near Eghlid city. Molla Sadra Dam is in about 60 km upstream of the Dorudzan Dam.

Main objectives:

• Generate 100 MW hydroelectric energy.
• Increase the reservoir volume of Dorudzan reservoir by 100 MCM to develop 10,000 ha of the Karbal farmlands plain.
• Protect the 90,000 ha of Karbal farmlands plain from floods.
• Improve of 4,400 ha of the Kamfirooz plain farmlands.
• Control (decrease) sedimentation in Dorudzan reservoir and increase the effective lifetime of the project.
